energy right® New Home Program
Planning new home construction should not only include design, but also the homes energy efficiency. With the home's energy efficiency in mind, Caney Fork Electric Cooperative has adopted the TVA energy right new home program.
New homes that are all-electric and are in the cooperative's service area may be eligible to receive incentives under the energy right program. (An all-electric home is one that uses electricity to heat the home, dry clothes, heat water, and cook.)
- Energy right new homes must meet 93 to 86 "HERS" points
- Energy right platinum new homes must meet 85 or less "HERS" points
All energy right homes will receive the following. Two inspections on the home, first before the dry wall is installed and a second when the home is complete.
